Preserving the Tradition. No one can stop time,
and change is constant
you can't stop time from changing. All we can do it
apply our culture to the change happening.
Card game, tongits. When you get bored in a family outing
theres always a card game to keep you amused.
the street food, the Isaw.
In an outing, it fun eating with your bare hands together
with family members.
Bagoong, i believe that bagoong is one thing you
can only find in the Philippines. It reflects how the filipino loves
salty food.
I remember when we use to buy pandesal every afternoon for our merienda.
before we only buy from any bakery but some
modern bakeshop emerged, like pande manila and anything else
even mcDonalds has pandesal.
i believe that McDonalds made pandesal
so we wouldnt destroy our tradition.
Pares, the perfect match.
a family that eats together is
a happy family
Family reunions,
i see that every family
has it own reunion, most of the team yearly,
in the holidays. This is Necessary to
keep close families.
The fiesta. Our family prepares for the fiesta in our town.
doing the preparation and the acceptance of visitors is
one of the best experiences i've had.
There's always that someone in our family with a camera,
we need a camera to record the fun and sad experiences
we've and we'll encounter in the future.
Whats the beaches. wheres the best place to have
an outing, of course the beach. i'd say Boracay.
or Cebu, it's one of the place that family goes to hang out.
a place of get togetherness.
The balot or balut. There was a time when we waited
in the street for almost an our becuase we were waiting
for the balut vendor to come.
Every holy week, we go and visit churches, and along the way
to the other churches we'll stop and take pictures of
people doing Pinetensya. It's shows how devoted the Filipino is to God.
It reflects how religious the Filipino people are.
The Balikbayan box, during december,
our relatives abroad couldn't forget giving
pasalubong or gift to their pamangkins,
and if that relative cant go home, the kids wait
for the balik bayan box.
Tagalog sopa opera. There always that one
in the family that loves tagalog soaps, and you cant do
anything when she/he is holding the remote,
you'll just have to watch the soap andtry to enjoy it
and after a while, you'll enjoy it.
San Miguel Beer,
i see that in most of our family affairs, that
always Miguel, it's like a part of our family.
Conclusion:
With this in my time capsule
surely the Archeologist with understand
and know what is it like to be a member in a Filipino family.
